East Java is absolutely incredible, but I wish you had also taken the opportunity to go diving in Raja Ampat, widely considered the best diving destination in the world. Or visited the orangutans that live only in the rainforests of Borneo, some of humanity’s closest living relatives in the wild, inhabiting a region often referred to as the “Amazon of Asia.”
You could also have visited the Komodo dragon, the world’s largest lizard, which can grow to more than two meters in length and is capable of hunting young deer.
Indonesia is full of extraordinary natural wonders, and there is always another amazing adventure waiting around the corner.
